Interview Radio France with Angela from Tumbleweed

At the Rencontres chorégraphiques internationales de Seine-Saint-Denis, the duo Tumbleweed will present their new work “Dehors est blanc”.

Radio France’s Arnaud Laporte talks to Angela Rabaglio, half of the choreographer duo Tumbleweed which she forms with Micaël Florentz, who is presenting her new work Dehors est blanc at the MC93 in Bobigny on 9 and 10 June as part of the Rencontres chorégraphiques internationales de Seine-Saint-Denis.

Listen here to the interview.

Man is an assemblage of forces, constantly out of balance; an attempt at resistance in the alignment of matter. He is one of many faces, expertly composed by nature, insignificant and brutal, and whose survival depends mainly on his ability to reposition himself. A choreographic installation of suspension; a portrait of contemporary man, who now more than ever questions the determinant of his own balance and territory. The title Dehors est blanc refers to an optical phenomenon that occurs in extreme climatic conditions, known as “le blanc dehors” (the white outside). Enveloped by a featureless white glow, the observer can no longer distinguish the horizon and loses his or her sense of depth and orientation.
