hEAR DROPS – Tutti Flutti

Whistling is one of those challenging, probably primal, skills that children use to show they are growing up and connecting with the adult world. There are countless ways to whistle, often connected to local traditions. They all require time and perseverance to master. In doing so, the attempts at whistling themselves provide numerous starting points for engaging with sound and becoming aware of subtle differences in timbre.

The colorite of this episode was inspired by ‘Portrait of an Artist (Pool with Two Figures)’ by David Hockney (1972).
