Description

A drop falls. A sound follows. What does the echo of a tear sound like?

The installation (t)ears captures various feelings and sounds in large glass droplets. Crying isn’t just a response to sadness or pain. People cry out of immense happiness, relief, or simply because something stings their eye, like when cutting an onion. Now it’s your turn to listen. Tears of joy, tears of sorrow, heartbreak, or beauty… come closer and hear the tear resonate in its many forms.

(t)ears combines live sound with pre-recorded audio to create a series of soundscapes that transform depending on your position. This allows you to experience a unique composition through the acoustic chambers made of blown glass.
