With her intriguing voice, elusive style, and dreamy music videos, Kate Bush has been an enigma for generations of listeners for decades. In Cloudbusting, singer and performer Aline Goffin takes young people on a journey through Bush’s inimitable universe. Not with a classical concert, but with a particularly intimate moment where music, movement, and image converge. Video artist Nele Fack previously shone with her animations in Zonzo Compagnie’s THELONIOUS. In Cloudbusting, she once again lets her visual imagination speak with magical holograms.

You’ll hear familiar songs like “Running Up That Hill”—which became all the rage again thanks to the Netflix series “Stranger Things”—but also surprising gems you might not (yet) know. Aline’s voice has often been compared to Kate Bush’s, but with Cloudbusting, she makes it her own. Armed only with a voice, a mini guitar, and a few sticks, Aline proves that Kate Bush’s songwriting skills remain intact even in this minimal setting.

It becomes an intimate encounter between singer and muse, between then and now.
