invisible cities diego echegoyen

Invisible Cities is a multidisciplinary project explores the hybridisation of artistic disciplines through the axis centre-periphery governing both Migration flows and the logic that relegates the technical object-bodies to the obscure periphery of the Theatre apparatus.

The project explores the resonances of the periphery within the centre, addressing the invisibility of the marginal and technical bodies by bringing them into focus. The structure of the piece is linked to a spatial projection device that will serve both as sonic source and as the protocol informing the dramaturgical, choreographic and spatial decisions.

This device is an orchestra made of speakers (acousmonium, in reference to François Bayle’s) the performer will move through the space affecting it, as much as the dramaturgy, the choreography of the piece and the relationship with the audience.

For this development I got the Ontwikkeling grant of the Flemish Government 2026.
