In residentie: Judith Engelen
07.05.2026

In I met you once, I loved you twice, Judith Engelen starts from Plato’s myth of lost other halves. In this visual representation, she depicts the desire to love and the mistrust that makes this love impossible. In an era of disinformation where the truth seems irrelevant, it becomes increasingly difficult to know what is real and who you can still trust. Using sculptures and new technologies, Engelen constructs a world where the boundaries between reality and imagination blur.
