in residence: Kevin Trappeniers

Kevin Trappeniers is working on two projects during this residency.

Dark Sky Preserve

In a world increasingly illuminated by artificial light, the beauty of the natural night sky is fading. This project explores the issue of light pollution through art, science and environmentalism in an outdoor installation that questions our connection to the cosmos and the fragile balance of our planet. Inspired by International Dark Sky Reserves – protected landscapes celebrated for their exceptional starry skies and nocturnal ecosystems – this project invites participants to experience the profound impact of darkness. During this residency, we will test projections and investigate scenography.

Inwijken

Project on art and climate change, fueled by scientific facts from scientific partner De Jonge Academie. This interdisciplinary input on the impact of climate change on Brussels, results in an artistic work that Trappeniers is now creating at C-TAKT.
